This section is designed to assist Target institutions develop projects under AIGF.  Follow the links to the various pages.  To return to this page select up from the link bar on the left hand side margin.

1.  First step is to check eligibility - you must be from a Target Institution and your project must deliver direct benefits to small holders within a relatively short time (pilot phase ends June 06).

2.  Second step is to complete an Expression of Interest form - this can be downloaded from this web site; documents page.  Remember to save this to your hard drive; also rename the file so we don't get confused.  The Expression of Interest form provides some handy hints on developing your EOI.  The EOI should be sent to the project administrator (Linda Kapus) for registration and distribution to the Technical Advisory Panel (TAP).

3.  Members of TAP examine applications to see if they conform to the guidelines and see if the proposal is sound.  Minutes of each meeting can be found on the archives page

4.  If approved then applicants are invited to complete a project proposal form together with an activities and budget spreadsheet; documents page.  In most cases an AIGF advisor will assist applicants to complete these.  The Project Proposal form contains some helpful hints on developing your PP.

5.  The project proposal should be submitted to the project administrator (Linda Kapus) for registration and distribution to the Technical Advisory Panel (TAP).  Hints on developing the project proposal are provided in the application form.

6.  Projects approved by TAP are submitted to the Advisory Committee (AC), who must decide if the project will be funded.  Minutes of each meeting can be found on the archives page

8.  A grant agreement is developed after AC approval ; documents page provides a copy of the format (copies of existing grant agreements can be downloaded from projects listed page - Table 1).

9.  Projects commence with the signing of the grant agreement. which triggers the first payment.  This allows projects to develop their work plan and establish agreements with their partner organisations.
