Current Projects

A total of 42 projects, valued at just over K3.95 million, are currently being implemented under AIGF.  A summary of these projects is shown on the  projects page.  Details of all projects can be found by accessing the database (link here); for implementing organisations access to the discussion/reporting section of the database is available through a log on process.  Please contact Laurie Fooks for your password.

Latest News a newsletter describing the latest features of the database can be downloaded from the link here

HIV/AIDS - David Young has prepared a short paper for us to understand how HIV/AIDS is likely to impact rural communities in PNG and to assist with development of a strategy to ensure each project considers how they might assist with the fight - at least not make matters worse by increasing vulnerability  to spread -  here.

National Agriculture Information System - is an integrated library catalogue database from 5 Ag Research Institutions in PNG - now online at  http://www.pngnais.org/ Peter Walton (AIGF Information System Advisor) has provided a summary (download here) of the development of this unique resource, which contains over 31,000 records including 608 titles of publications published and available for distribution in PNG.

Partnerships - it is important that arrangements with partners are clear.  It is not sufficient to have a general arrangement to work together.  Arrangements should follow the principles of good delegation.  A workshop has been prepared on delegation to assist (download here).
